Welcome to Bear Arms Defense. My name is Seth Yeadon and I am the owner and lead instructor for all Concealed Carry Courses and Firearms Training.
About me:
My firearms experience began at an early age alongside my father. He was an Army Veteran, Deputy Sheriff and an avid gun enthusiast. We have enjoyed target shooting and other gun sports together, since I was about 5 years old.
At 22 years old, I became a Deputy Sheriff. During this time, I continued to pursue additional firearms and tactical training. I became a Range Master, SWAT Team member, SWAT Range Master, Advanced Range Master and Tactical Team Training Coordinator. I am Certified through the CA Commision of Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) as well as other law enforcement training organizations such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, California Department of Corrections, the United States Secret Service, the F.B.I. Regional SWAT Team-Sacramento and the F.B.I. Hostage Rescue Team-Quantico, VA.
I have continued my training and education to include certification from the California Department of Justice and hold a Certified Instructor Certificate, Firearms Safety Certificate and Certificate of Eligibility (Commonly referred to as a C.O.E.)
About the Classes:
I operate the classes on a small group model basis. The classes are low stress and focus on learning. Building knowledge and confidence is the goal. The class syllabus consists of legal considerations, state laws, best practices, firearm nomenclature, and a live-fire shooting course consistent with state law. This is a safe learning environment, and questions are encouraged along the way. Exercising your Second Amendment Rights should be a positive and encouraging experience!
